Recorder Festival

Year 3 Recorder students recently spent an afternoon participating in the Dartford Recorder Festival at Mick Jagger Center. Children from six schools (West Hill, Holy Trinity, The Gateway, Wentworth and Maypole) met to play music from notes they have learnt before and some that was improvised at the theatre. Danceathon!

On Friday 15th June, Year 6 took part in a danceathon to raise money for our Chessington trip. We danced to lots of different songs from 9:50am to 11:30am. People dropped out and some stayed until the end. We had 9 winners. It was so tiring, the music got faster and more and more people dropped. We had so much fun! By Lily Blatt.

St George’s Parade

Year 3 had a fantastic afternoon out in Dartford to support the town’s St George’s Day celebrations. They walked with their bright, decorative masks, following the impressive dragon as they led the parade of different schools.
