In the Spotlight – Episode 7

Welcome back to another episode of Spotlight – celebrating the successes and achievements of our children both in and out of school.  This week we have some lovely successes to celebrate.  We have one child in Year 2 who recently woke up wanting to be a tailor.  So what did he do?  Well he was fortunate enough for his mum to buy him a tailoring kit and with that he sewed together his own glove – what a brilliant idea!  Well done!

We also have a Year 4 child who is an incredibly talented artist.  The art work our children have demonstrated this year has amazing and this is no exception.  This child is so talented and the drawing of her father shows just how much time and effort she puts in to her art work.  Keep it up and make sure you go to art club and if you want to help design anything to use in our Year 6 Production feel free!

We also have another talented Year 2 pupil showing an array of certificates.  Not only has she achieved her Rainbow Lizard and Chameleon certificates for dedicated outside learning she also has an Apple certificate for her excellent work on the Apple Field Trip.  Well done and keep up the hard work!  More certificates to come I feel.

Thanks to our spotlight stars this week.  If you want to be in the spotlight next week, find myself or Mr. Clegg and we will celebrate in style.

I like to draw because I feel nice when I’m drawing. I get inspired by things such as going to restaurants – asking my mum and dad to take photos of the art work. I then get them sent to my email and use them to make my own artwork. I just love drawing for fun. My mum says I’m very good at drawing other people. I prefer to copy things I see. I even went to the Maldives and saw an amazing wooden piece of art so I copied the sunset and dolphins. I also copied some Indian Gods. My mum tells me lots of stories about them and even said she would frame a few of them. She even said that I could be an architect when I’m older. I’ve lost some of my other drawings because of my younger sister!
