Kent School Games

On Thursday 14th December, a selection of Year 5 and 6 children took part in the Kent School Games final for the Sportshall Athletics competition. Thirteen other schools took part and the competition was very tough!

After completing all our track and field events in the morning, which consisted of: sprints, obstacle races, hurdles, javelin, long and triple jump and chest push (to name but a few) it was then time for the final relay races.

The girls managed to finish 3rd in their race, and the boys finished 6th in theirs.

Nails were bitten and tensions ran high as the results were announced. DBCPS managed to finish in a highly respectable 9th place, which all the boys and girls worked incredibly hard to achieve.

They should all be very proud of the teamwork, determination and successes they managed as a team.

Well done to all the athletes who took part.
