Boys from both Year 3 and 4 took part in a football league at Dartford FC. The Dartford district Year 3/4 floodlight football took place every Friday during terms 3 and 4. The children represented the school and played against nine other schools. The schools that took part in the tournament were: Dartford Bridge, Hextable, Oakfield, Holy Trinity, Temple Hill, Superstars, Manor community, Brent, Fawkham and Sedleys.
All the teams played one another more than once and over the eight weeks they played a total of 31 games. The children managed to get a total of 72 points. This meant that they won the league by 5 points.
The children worked really hard as a group and played extremely well together. This showed as they won the league! The commitment of the children was outstanding, as we had over 10 children turning up week after week to show other schools exactly what they can do.
I would like to say a massive thank you to both the children who worked incredibly hard and their parents who attended every week to support the children and encourage them no matter what happened on the pitch. The parents helped create a positive atmosphere for the children and this meant that the children wanted to come back week after week.
We are so proud of our team and the spirit they showed and look forward to more future success.
