Christmas Market Fair 2018

After months of planning and lots of help from our amazing FoDBCPS volunteers, our annual Christmas Market Fair on Friday 7 December went off with a bang!

At 3.30pm the doors were opened to the families of our school and the community to come and explore our massive range of stalls. We had glitter tattoos, refreshments, mince pies, bows, hair accessories, Avon, personalised beads, Tombolla’s, games, cakes, lucky dips, YMCA Sure Start and Delmergate Pharmacy to name a few and not forgetting the big man Santa!

The children loved meeting the Santa in his Grotto, decorated by donations from the children in EYFS.

The highlight of the afternoon had to be the massive main raffle organised and paid for by generous donations, stall holder prize donations and the FoDBCPS. The main prize was a PlayStation 4 with a FIFA game! We had over 20 prizes to give away and we left the best for last! Well done everyone that won a prize. And a huge congratulations to Mrs Smith who won the PlayStation!

We raised about £1000 at the event also which will be going toward buying two more benches for outside year 1 classrooms.

We would like to thank everyone that helped make the afternoon a complete success and also a huge thank you to our local Councillor David Butler at KCC, who donated £300 towards our event for the community. Without all these amazing people, our events wouldn’t happen.

Many thanks
