Apple Field Trip
A group of children from across Years 4-6 visited Bluewater today for an Apple Field Trip. This was a creative storytelling session using iPad Pros, Apple Pencils and some very clever Sphero Bolt robots.
The children worked brilliantly together in small groups to plan their story (storyboarding) and learned to use an Apple Pencil to get their ideas and drawings down. Putting their coding skills to use they then connected the robots to the iPads and programmed their short stories using graphics, sound and movement. They were all very quick learners and the staff were most impressed with their engagement in the session, their behaviour as well as being such excellent ambassadors for DBCPS. It certainly was a unique and interesting way of telling a story and some of the groups had time to show off their coding on the big screen as their stories played out.
We even received a nice Apple badge and certificate. Well done to each and every one of you!
