Key Stage 2 were lucky enough to be entertained by the Kent Music Roadshow on Monday morning. The show was called ‘Bach to the Future’ and we learnt about the composer Johan Sebastian Bach. There were three musicians, Laurie, Graham and John, who kept us engrossed by a mix of classical and modern music. The movie theme tunes had us singing along and dancing where we sat.
Laurie played the violin, the electric violin, a rock violin and a bucket and broom handle with some string which sounded like a cello. Graham played a trumpet and a trombone and a funnel and hose which sounded amazingly like a trumpet. John played the clarinet, saxophone and two straws. Showing us that you could make music with anything. It was very informative and a lot of fun. What a great way to start the week!
