Year 4 Parent Sharing Event
The action- packed Year 4 sharing event gave our families a really entertaining afternoon.
We started off by sharing some of our work from the term, reading our poems about the sea. We hope our audience was able to notice the difference in the word choices we made depending on whether we were describing a rough, stormy sea or a calm, tranquil one.
We were then interrupted by a breaking news report about a pier fire. Luckily our team of journalists were on hand at the scene to hear about the events first-hand from a variety of eye witnesses, which included a fireman, a resident and a holiday maker.
After that excitement, we were all able to take a breather while we sat back and enjoyed some alternative Flotsam stories written by our classmates.
Finally, we helped our visitors to plan their next holiday by opening our coastal travel agents. We were able to recommend places such as Brighton, Lulworth Cove and The Needles, using our customers’ preferences to suggest where they would like to go based on the geographical features they would expect to see there.
Thank you so much for everyone that came to support us!
