Steps to Resolving Any Issues at School
Step 1 – Raising Your Concern
Contact your child’s teacher by speaking to them during morning drop off (8.45-8.55am), or at the end of the day when collecting your child (3.15pm). If the timing isn’t suitable, then please speak to the front office who can help arrange a time to meet the teacher or for them to give you a call.
Step 2 – Speaking to the Phase Leaders
If you would prefer to speak to someone other than your class teacher we encourage you to instead speak to the Phase Leaders of the year group your child is in. For EYFS (Nursery and Reception) this is Mrs Sparrow. For Years 1 and 2 this is Mrs Mohideen. For Years 3 and 4 this is Miss Aujla. For Years 5 and 6 this is Mr Stannard.
Step 3 – Speaking to the Key Stage Leaders
If you feel that the previous steps have not resolved your issue then the next thing to do is to get in touch with the Key Stage Leaders that your child’s class comes under.
- For EYFS (Nursery and Reception) and Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) this is Miss Bates.
- For Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) this is Mr Eastes.
Miss Bates and Mr Eastes can be messaged directly through these pages: EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 or you can visit the school office to arrange a time to meet them or for them to give you a call.
Step 4 – Contacting the Headteacher
If you feel your issue/concern has still not been dealt with to your satisfaction, then the third step is to contact the Headteacher, Mrs Smith. You can organise a time to meet Mrs Smith via the front office, or have her call you, or send a message directly using the form found here. This meeting will also determine if the complaint can be dealt with informally or needs to convert to formal complaints proceedings.
Step 5 – Contacting School Governors
Having followed the previous steps you are still unsatisfied with the outcome/solution to your issue you can also contact our School Governors in writing. Letters can be made for the attention of Chair of Governors.
