Investigating Decimals

Today Year 5 and 6 investigated decimals. We looked at pairs of decimals that add together to make 1 unit e.g. 0.1+0.9=1 and pairs of decimals that make one tenth (0.1) e.g. 0.07+0.03=0.1. Film Club: Bridge to Terabithia

Welcome to Springboard Maths

Christmas Discos

The school finished term two with a Christmas Disco! We had a disco for Key Stage 1, and another for Key Stage 2.  Everyone dressed up and had a great time dancing, playing some games and having a drink and a snack.  We had a DJ playing some fantastic music and had a great time doing the Macarena! Otters Assembly

Otters performed their class assembly last Friday. Having learnt about Australia and New Zealand they were keen to tell the whole school about them.  They sang three Australian songs, performed the Haka (a traditional dance of the Māori people from New Zealand) and showed the school a great Powerpoint presentation on the countries, the animals and the people.  They ended with Kiwi Jingle Bells. Last week we participated in a Cultural Awareness Week. This involved each class focussing on one country and learning all about that country. We decorated our classes to represent our country with artefacts and flags. To share our knowledge we each visited each others classrooms to learn about other countries.
